I originally started this book as Under a Raging Moon, and I first created these characters as Piper (Cole and Dana’s daughter), Kale, and Hudson. But I got stuck about halfway into the story, and I ultimately abandoned it. Sometime this summer, I reread the unfinished manuscript, and I immediately saw the problem. I had switched settings and tried to morph the story into something it wasn’t. It was truly a much shorter little book. Anyway, by now, I’d already written the story of Piper and the others, so I did some rewrites and some find-and-replace magic ala E. L. James, and voila, a new story about completely different characters. *grin*
Carrie Beckett doesn’t know that she’s a werewolf, and she doesn’t know that the hot dude at the carnival is her alpha, but she’s about to find out.
When her alpha Mick Pierce sweeps into her life, everything changes. He shows her that she is no longer a shy, timid girl, but a self-assured, dangerous woman. And everyone else notices too, including Holden Rane. She’s had a hopeless crush on him for years, but he’s never so much as noticed her. Now he can’t keep his eyes off her.
Caught between serious and sinfully sexy Mick, and the boy next door who she’s always wanted, Carrie can hardly handle her love life, let alone her new werewolf identity.
But menace is about to surface, danger is waiting for her, and she must use her newfound confidence to fight.
