I originally started this book as Under a Raging Moon, and I first created these characters as Piper (Cole and Dana’s daughter), Kale, and Hudson. But I got stuck about halfway into the story, and I ultimately abandoned it. Sometime this summer, I reread the unfinished manuscript, and I immediately saw the problem. I had switched settings and tried to morph the story into something it wasn’t. It was truly a much shorter little book. Anyway, by now, I’d already written the story of Piper and the others, so I did some rewrites and some find-and-replace magic ala E. L. James, and voila, a new story about completely different characters. *grin*
