I love the Jason and Azazel Trilogy! That’s kind of obvious, I guess. I tried to tell my friends about the books but I had to stop because I was getting way too excited. Also, I normally don’t like thrillers, but this is probably one of my favorite series. I can identify with Azazel, even though I’ve never killed anyone. But that’s not really what it’s about… Anyway I really like the Apocalypse trilogy so far and when I was reading it I almost started hyperventilating. It was really exciting. The weird thing is, though, in the J & A trilogy I wanted Azazel to leave Jason but when she did I was actually really devastated.

You’re a really great writer, you thought of things I never would have, so good job and keep up the good work!

Jason & Azazel triology is simply amazing. It was full of suspence n gripped myh attention d whole tym. I stop myhslef from reading until i finished :D reaaaly interesting and captivating. Great job V.J chamber. Keeep those awesome bookz coming. and I cant wait to read stillness in air

I have to say that I am very mad at myself! I never start reading a series that isn't already finished, because it just drives me insane not to know what happens. When I saw that Breathless, Trembling , and Tortured were a trilogy I read all three in a matter of two days. They were so good and well written. Then I found out that you are writing a second trilogy about J&A and found Stillness. I contemplated not reading it until the last two are written, but of course I couldn't. I read it in three hours this morning. I thought it was a great addition to the series, and I guess I am glad that I read them even though the whole series isn't finished yet. I think your books have the best mix of an awesome female protagonist, romance, history, and blood and guts. I think I have found a new favorite author in you V.J., and I'm a huge Amanda Hocking fan, so that is definitely saying something! I can't wait until the next two books come out!

Amanda does seem to crank them out doesn't she? I think taking your time and getting it right is the most important thing. Your books have such wonderful depth, excellent character development, and great description of scenes. I can see why your books may take a little longer to write. The plots are so intricately woven and seem very well researched. I always feel I am with J & A wherever they are.

It's probably good you don't crank them out as fast because my 3 and 5 year olds have been fending for themselves while I read all of your books over the last few days!

May I say its 2:51am and I just finished the stillness and I’m craving for more I couldn’t stop reading. When I started the first trilogy and the first time you introduced Jason I was reminded of my biggest crush ever and after that its like I couldn’t stop. I started the day before yesterday when I a friend told me about it at school I went to sleep at 3 then read when I got home and I just finished the last book IM DYING FOR MORE!!!!!!!!! Love you and thanks for such amazing writting!

I must say, You are a fantastic writer. I have been so wrapped up in the Jason&Azazel love story that when you fast-forwarded to the future and broke them up, I was very upset. But now that I finished reading Stillness in the Air, I must admit, it was a great addition. I love all of your books, however Stillness in the Air made me a bit sad, I didn't want Azazel to become a sadistic tyrant, but it's alright. And as for the comments that were being said before, ignore those. The fact that you can write these stories and keep it going is more than a blessing enough. I for one know how difficult it can be to write a book, none the less 4 books and 2 more coming. You have a wicked mind V.J and I hope it keeps coming up with these crazy plots you have. I'll be buying your books soon because I just can't get enough. You are one of the only authors to keep me up till 4 or 5 am because I can't stop reading. And that's saying something. Just finished "Between the Heaves of Storm" and let me just say that you have out done yourself. It was the best book of the series. Wow. I didn't know how you where going to get those two on "talking" terms again but man, did you pull it off. The ending was a little heartbreaking that after all of that he still can not forgive himself, but yeah, I get it.

I literally finshed "Between the Heaves of Storm" minutes ago…………some very clever twists…….the events do have me wondering about that amulet of Micheala's that was given to Azazel back in "Breathless"……….

Just wanted to stop by and see if you were gathering your creativity, invoking the "Muse" so to speak………….and to let you know you can count on us as Amazon.com "Autobuy" fans (my daughter and I)…………Great Job…Keep it up!

You know, i had completely forgotten about that necklace. (runs off to add the necklace to the list of foreshadowing in the other books that have to be tied up in the final book.)

I do keep thinking about Jason and Azazel and the last book, but I haven't gotten any serious planning done. Sometimes I wonder if I'm dragging my feet on it because I really don't want to say goodbye to these characters yet.

Anyway, your comments mean a lot to me.

P.S. I've written five other books and four other novellas/short stories not related to the series. (no pressure…lol.

Ha! We are two of a kind, then. I also read Wuthering Heights every year. Although, I do have to say it's not much for an HEA…well, for little Cathy and Hareton, I suppose, but I do always feel bad for basically everyone else. Oh, wait. I just reread what you wrote. You weren't saying it had an HEA after all.

Actually, I'm not an enormous fan of the way that book ended, I must say. But I can't really imagine what else she could have done. Overall, I just can't get enough of the delicious way I love and hate Heathcliff all at the same time.

BTW, do you read any Anne Stuart romances? I L-O-V-E her.

I just read all five books out on Jason and Azazel, and I must say I am very intrigued by the characters as well as the storyline. At times I was surprised that the more explicit violence did not turn me off, but actually felt like the characters’ reaction to their own actions, the self-doubt and internal torment made more sense after going through the graphic descriptions. Very suspenseful writing, intricate characters and relationships – very well done!! I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the final chapter in their story…

I cannot wrap my head around why this is not on a best seller’s list. I finished all 5 books within 3 days. I bathed only once, consumed a whole carton of Ben&Jerry’s Red Velvet Cake, and forgot to finish my admission paper. But hell, it was so fucking worth it!! I’m definitely spreading the word about this trilogy/saga and I already convinced 6 of my friends to read the books!

I’m starting to re-read Breathless during smoke breaks at work and I’ll continue to do so until a movie comes out! Truly, a wonderful work of art!!! Congrats!!!

As a matter of fact, I am. I live in Shepherdstown, WV, which is in the eastern panhandle, about an hour from D.C., but I grew up in Romney, WV–and that's the town Bramford is based on. What part of WV are you from? (I haven't been all over the state–farthest south I've been is Hurricane, farthest east is Morgantown.)

Thank you so much for your kind words. Breathless has been up and down on Amazon lists for about a year now, but it's never really had any breakaway exposure. Yet, anyway. I think it has trouble finding its audience. And the series is a tad tough for some people to take, especially if they're religious.

Yay! I'm so glad you are telling your friends, and I hope they like it too. And if you know any big shot movie producers or directors, I'm definitely interested.

God, I love these books!!!! I fell in love with Kieran although he turned out to be a total ass. How can he leave little Chance?! I loved their father-to-son connection. But he had to eventually go back to Jason, I guess, eventhough I disapprove. But anyways, call me crazy, but I still want Jason and Azazel to work it out, but for some reason, I highly doubt that will happen… a Romeo and Juliet-esque in the midst, maybe? I guess I’ll just have to find out.

But anyways, I was thinking about the character’s appearances and I was wondering how did you picture them? Like, what celebrity do you think Azazel and Jason closely resemble, appearance wise. Personally, I pictured Azazel kinda like Kaya Scodelario from Skins and Jason…idk… Taylor Lautner’s body but a bit more slender and taller and his face… unimaginably gorgeous with a hint of Native. Kinda of like the guy in Supernatural (I forgot what his name was), but ya, that’s my two cents…I should stop rambling now…

Anywho! I just wanted to say you are a marvelous writer and I’m definitely interested in reading more of your work! Actually, I’m going to begin reading Death Girl this weekend! I’m excited! Also, have you written any other trilogies? Any works in progress? I’m looking forward to more of your work!

For me, Jason will always look like Tom Sturridge, and I think I did a Kieran wallpaper, with Travis Fimmel as him… I have no idea what Azazel looks like, although a girl named Jackie did some banners a few years back with Michelle Trachtenberg–who's probably too old now. I did like that.

I'm working on another trilogy right now called The Toil and Trouble Trilogy, which is about the daughter of a magical mob boss and her fight against these zombie/werewolf type things (I call them berserkers). I just finish reading the Last Onset and…I don’t know what to say…which is good? In the beginning I was hyperventalting and almost died of excitement. Throughout the reading I was at the edge of my seat and chewing my nails to the bone. At the end, I was an emotional wreck, I kept thinking ‘Is Azazel going to kill Jason? Are they finally gonna live normal lives? Are they going to have that happy ever after ending?’ Which they sort of did, but I was kinda sad that Jason never got to see his son again, which is the sacrifice, but… ugh, I just did not want it to end :’(

But it is not The Never Ending Story, is it? Anyways I LOVE Bonnie and Clyde reference. I always thought of them like that. Its clever. I want to say so much, but I think I’ll do an Amazon review better (for the first time!) That’s how good it is!

I happened apon your web site by accident a few yrs ago and started to read Breathless . I got so caught up in their story that I couldn't wait for you to post new chapters so I bought it. By the end I was hooked. So I would check to see when you would release the next and bought Trembling and Tortured after that. I thought that was the end of there story and I must admit I hadn't been to your web site in a while .I checked back right befor the holiday break and was surprised to see you were doing Apocalypse Trilogy .So I read The Stillness in the Air on your site and immediately bought Between the Heaves of Storm and finished in two days. I could wait for That Last Onset and was in ahhed by the ending . Thank you for telling Jason and Azazels' story . I laughed and cried (mostly cried) with them and came to love and hate (mostly love) both of them at times. Thanks again for telling their story.

Nope. You're not missing a book. There's a four year lag between the the two trilogies. All will be explained in flashbacks.

I started the second book Trembling last night and was very surprised to find out that the location of the book was in Bradenton, FL! Where I am currently sitting at my desk. And they went to school at Bayshore Highschool, where I graduated from. And Azazel worked at the Regal Cinemas on Cortez where I go to see Movies! Haha, how fun! Im curious as to what made you decide on Bradenton?

I actually lived in Bradenton for about six months and the Sarasota area for about two years total.

I’m sure Bayshore is nothing like the school in the book. I mostly made that stuff up. But I definitely spend some time cruising around Cortez.

I started reading Breathless yeas ago on Facebook and I lost my internet and by the time I got back on I couldnt find the chapters I missed. I was wicked bummed until I just recently bought a Nook and found them on there. I have bought and read both trilogies in a little over a week. I just finished The Last Onset not even 10 minutes ago and I am so heartbroken that its over. They are definately books that I will read over and over again in the future. I want to say thank u for writing all six books, it was an amazing break from reality to hang out with Jason and Zaza for a week. You are an amazing author and I can’t wait to read more of your work. Is there anything that you have written that is similar to Jason and Azazel’s story? I’m a sucker for a romance story with a great plot!

Um… in the anti-hero vein, I’d say The Toil and Trouble Trilogy is the most similar. You can get the first book free if you subscribe to my update list.

For romance, I’d recommend Release, which is actually on an Amazon exclusive run right now, and I know you said you had a nook. It will be back up and available everywhere in September.

Hi! You’ve become my favorite author ever since reading Breathless. But there was a phrase from the Apocalypse trilogy that I didn’t understand: She told me to save her seconds? Can you please explain that for me? Thanks

Sorry. I just did a search for “save her seconds” in the Apocalypse trilogy file, and MS Word couldn’t find the phrase. I don’t have any memory of using it? Maybe if you were a little more specific?

I remember using it in Trembling, however, when Azazel was passed out in a tent, and a guy said it Jason. He meant, “I’ll have sex with the drunk, passed-out girl after you’re done having sex with her.”

Maybe that’s what you were thinking of?
